Water tank capacity calculator
Find the capacity of a rectangular or round water tank in litres, and how many days it lasts for your household.
How it works
Rectangular: length × width × height. Round: π ÷ 4 × diameter² × height. 1 cubic foot = 28.317 litres and 1 cubic metre = 1,000 litres. Use the inside measurements and the water height for the usable amount. Daily use per person varies, so enter your own figure.
Always confirm measurements for a purchase or registration with official records.
