Brick and mortar calculator
Estimate bricks, cement bags and sand for a wall from its length, height and thickness.
How it works
The estimate uses standard brick sizes with 10 mm mortar joints and subtracts door and window openings. Mortar is worked out from the dry volume of the wet mortar (factor 1.27) and the ratio you choose. Add your own margin for breakage.
Always confirm measurements for a purchase or registration with official records.
