Steel weight calculator
Find the weight of TMT bars from their diameter, length and number, using the standard d² ÷ 162 formula.
How it works
Weight per metre = d² ÷ 162, where d is the bar diameter in mm (steel density 7,850 kg/m³). Actual bars can differ slightly within the tolerance the standard allows, so use the supplier's weight for billing.
Always confirm measurements for a purchase or registration with official records.
